The AYSO VIP Program’s mission is to provide a quality soccer experience for individuals whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult for them to successfully participate on mainstream soccer teams. Successful participation is defined by the player’s enjoyment and the safety of all team members.
Adaptive Ski Association of West Michigan

This downriver team offers sports for those with physical disabilities and special needs, including swimming, baseball and bowling.

This Michigan chapter of Disabled Sports USA has adaptive downhill skiing and snowboarding in the winter and adaptive water skiing and kayaking clinics in summer for those with a variety of physical and intellectual disabilities.

Basketball clinic in the fall, soccer clinic in the winter and floor hockey clinic in the spring. Plus, summertime sports camps.
Team GUTS is committed to improving the health, fitness and overall well-being of those in our community with special needs and disabilities. We are doing this by offering various adaptive fitness programs in a fun and recreational setting. All Team GUTS™ program sessions include eight (8) classes.
Inclusively Fit is a 5,000 square foot, fully staffed and equipped fitness facility. The center is designed to offer exercise and fitness programs for the special needs community and is located in Sterling Heights, Macomb County MI.

Easterseals MORC Miracle League
The City of Southfield is home to Michigan’s FIRST baseball field for children with any physical or cognitive disability, offering the true Major League experience. Our new field in Orion Township is providing even more opportunities.

Special Olympics Michigan — Southeast Region
Location: Various counties across southeast Michigan
Find a multitude of sports offerings through Special Olympics Michigan, including skiing, figure skating, snowboarding, basketball, cycling, gymnastics, golf, volleyball and many more. Open to kids with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as cognitive delays. No prior experience necessary. Reach out to the Special Olympics Michigan — Southeast Region to get hooked up with your county’s specific contact.

Each player is paired with a 10-17-year-old to assist them, if needed.

Sign up to play adaptive wheelchair floor hockey from October-May. Kids with a range of disabilities such as muscular dystrophy, spinal muscular atrophy, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, spina bifida, arthrogryposis, osteogenesis imperfecta (brittle bones) can join in.
