Volunteer

Volunteers are needed to assist with:

• Physical labor on-site (weeding, cutting grass, building raised beds, leveling ground, setting pavers/bricks, pruning fence line)
• Seeking donations of supplies for project completion, on-going
• Watering the garden, weekly
• On-site supervision during events

Volunteers are needed to assist with:

• Physical labor on-site (Baking, testing recipes, packaging products, clean up)
• Seeking donations of baking supplies, on-going
• Seeking new locations with industrial kitchen to donate space for next academy class
• Promoting program to schools and community outreach (gathering new participants)
• On-site supervision during baking sessions
• Assist in finding community events to test new products and sell existing products
• Assist in connecting to businesses/organizations & obtaining commits to purchase products under the monthly/yearly platter subscription program

Volunteers are needed to assist with:

• Responding to requests for referrals and information
• Growing the ASGD resource database
• Connecting to other organizations to create a network of support for the disability community
• Researching Businesses and adding to the AS Friendly business listing
• General overview presentations to service organizations about the work we do
• Manning an outreach table at a community event

Volunteers are needed to assist with:

• Offering Bingo tickets to players (cash handling)
• Calling Bingo ball numbers to Hall
• Manning the doors and passing out attendance numbers
• Walking the floor and verifying Bingos for players
